Our insect zappers use special blacklight fluorescent light tubes to attract flies, moths, mosquitoes and other flying pests to the interior of the units where they are electrocuted by the high voltage grids.
All standard units are supplied with 2m cord flex and 3 pin plug ready to operate from 240v, 50hz power outlet. These bug zappers are economical with low power consumption. Most models are manufactured with zinc-anneal steel and finished with baked polyester powder coating for rust resistance and long life.
Our insect zappers use high voltage, commercial grade transformers that peak at 6000 volts. The high voltage grids do not hold dead insects and are virtually self cleaning due to the vertical pattern. These units are safe for children and pets as all models conform to Australian Standard AS3150 and are approved by all Australian Energy Authorities.
These lights may also act as security lighting.
Please be aware that the use of shatterproof tubes may be required by local health & safety regulations. For instance, shatterproof tubes are required for food preparation and food consumption areas.
