Air Curtains are generally used for one of two reasons:
1. To keep cool air-conditioned air in, while keeping dust out, or;
2. Fly and insect control. This must meet AQIS standards for the food preparation industry.
(Australian Quarantine Inspection Services Standards Paragraph 42.29)
"The air flow must cover the full height and width of the opening and the air flow should not be less than 50mm deep.
The air stream velocity should not be less than 8 metres per second, measured at 900mm above the floor for overhead units and across the full width of the opening if side mounted."
